CLAUSE 35: STORAGE Goods remaining in the Authority's sheds or stacking grounds in excess of allowed periods shall be levied storage at the rates provided below:- 1. Domestic Cargo 1.A Break Bulk (a) Import Storage Rates US$ (i) For the first 7 days from the date the goods are landed or from the date the ship completes discharge whichever is the earlier Free (ii) The next 30 days per HTN/day 1.00 (iii) Thereafter until delivery per HTN/day 1.50 (b) Export Domestic Storage (i) For the first 7 days including Sundays and Public Holidays from the date of acceptance by the Authority of the goods in the harbour area Free (ii) Thereafter until the date fixed as the loading day, per 1,000 kgs. per day 0.50 (c) Trans-shipment and overlanded Cargo
(i) First 10 days from date of arrival of importing vessel Free (ii) Thereafter until loading date of the carrying vessel, or the date of presentation of the relevant shipping documents whichever is later 0.50 (iii) Cargo not otherwise enumerated per HTN per day 0.50 US$
(d) Dhow Cargo Dhow Import/Export Cargo, per 1,000 kgs. per day 0.30 (e) Passenger Baggage Per package or article per day 0.20 (f) Cargo Under Fumigation
(g) Breakage Cargo & Customs Examination Delays
Rate per Package per day or part thereof US $ (ii) Up to weightment and preparation of DPR Free (iii) Thereafter, until notice to verify/removal 1.00
(h) Incorrect Marking of Cargo Delayed delivery of cargo due to incorrect marking of the cargo in question shall be charged at full storage rates as provided for in items 'A' and 'B' herein above as appropriate.
A. Break Bulk (a) Import Storage US$ (i) For the first 15 days from the date goods are landed or from the date the ship completes discharge, whichever is the earlier Free (ii) For the next 30 days, per HTN per day 1.00 (iii) Thereafter till delivery, per HTN per day 1.50 (b) Export Storage Free storage period 21 (twenty one) days including Sundays and Public Holidays, shall be allowed on export cargo other than copper and other metals calculated from the date of acceptance by the Authority of the goods in the Harbour Area. Any period in excess of such free period shall incur storage charges. The rates of charges shall be as follows:- Rates per 1,000 kgs. or part thereof per day or part thereof
(i) Up to 3,500 tons cushion Free (ii) Thereafter until the date fixed as the loading day 0.50
(i) For the First 21 days including Sundays and Public Holidays Free (ii) Thereafter until the date fixed as the loading day 0.50 N.B Shut-out copper and other export cargo from the date

Empty Containers Rate in US$ per day per Container Unit of Upto 20 ft Over 20 ft (i) For the first 5 days after the ship completed discharge or the container is landed or unstuffed whichever shall be the earlier Free Free (ii) For the next 10 days 4.00 8.00 (iii) Thereafter until final delivery 8.00 16.00 (iv) Empty containers received into the port from outside shall not enjoy free period and shall incur storage from date of receipt. 4. Unmanifested Cargo An allowance of 24 hours shall be granted, after the ship's arrival, within which
shall be raised against the carrier or his agent until date of manifest presentation.
