CLAUSE 20: HIRE OF ROW BOATS, BOATS, PORTAGES AND BUMBOATMEN'S LICENCES The following are the authorised charges:- A. ROW BOATS US$ i) To or from ships in the inner harbour 1.00 between 6.00 a.m. to midnight single journey per passenger ii) 6.00 a.m. to midnight double journey 2.00 per passenger iii) Midnight to 6.00 a.m. single journey 2.00 per passenger iv) Midnight to 6.00 a.m. double journey 4.00 per passenger v) Double journey fares include fifteen 1.00 minutes waiting time after which charges for waiting in excess of every fifteen minutes or part thereof will be vi) Baggage other than small articles carried 1.00 in the hands of a passenger per package B. 1. MOTOR-BOATS - DAR ES SALAAM i) To or from ships in the inner harbour 2.00 between 6.00 a.m. and midnight per passenger ii) Midnight to 6.00 a.m. per passenger 3.00 iii) Baggage other than small articles 1.00 carried in the hand of a passenger, per package iv) To or from ships lying at the Outer Anchorage Per passenger 3.00 v) Baggage other than small articles 1.00 per package 2. TANGA By Arrangement between 6.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m. Hire Time By Arrangement 6.00 am 6.00 pm and and 6.00 pm 6.00 am US$ i) From Pier to 'F' Berth or 2.00 3.00 beyond per passenger ii) From Pier to any Anchorage off 1.00 2.00 Customs Pier per passenger iii) From Pier to any other berth 2.00 3.00 per passenger iv) Baggage for each package of 25kgs 1.00 1.00 carried personally v) Baggage for other packages not 1.00 1.00 carried personally vi) Transport of Passengers and Baggage to and from Dhow Anchorage: (a) Per Person 1.00 1.00 (b) Per package 1.00 1.00 C. PORTERAGE (1) Dar es Salaam i) Licensed porters at Passenger landing Jetty, City Drive: Hand Baggage 5 kgs. and over per package 1.00 ii) All baggage under 5 kgs. per package 1.00 iii) All baggage (except hand baggage) over 2.00 5 kgs but under 50 kgs. per package iv) All baggage (except hand baggage) 1.00 over 5 kgs. and over, for each 25 kgs. or part thereof (a) All baggage under 5 kgs. per package 1.00 (b) All baggage (except hand baggage) over 2.00 5 kgs. but under 50 kgs. per package (c) All baggage (except hand baggage) 1.00 weighing 5 kgs. and over, for each 25 kgs. or part thereof Note: v) In respect of passengers' and crews' baggage dealt with over the Authority's Main Quay per package or article 2.00 vi) Registration of porters and monthly licensing fees per month per person 1.00 vii) For preparation of copy of licence per copy 1.00 (2) Tanga Porterage: i) For each piece of baggage from Landing Stage to the Customs Shed upto 25 kgs. 1.00 ii) For every additional 25 kgs. or part 1.00 thereof iii) From Customs Shed to Tanga 1.00 Municipality upto 25 kgs in weight iv) For every additional 25 kgs or part thereof 1.00 D.
