CLAUSE 42: OTHER CONTAINER SERVICE CHARGES

1. Refrigerated Containers (Reefer Containers)

Containers using the reefer facilities shall be charged for power supply, storage and connecting/disconnecting services, at the following rates:

(I) Power supply per container 8 12

(Ii) Storage per container per 20 40

day after the first 48 hours

NOTE: Power supply rates may change without prior notice

Subject to a change in the TANESCO TARIFF

2. Change of Container Status 25 35

Changing the status of a container shall attract additional charges as follows:-

Change of Container Status:-

NOTE: (i) Where notice is served at least 48 hours before vessels arrival charges specified above shall not apply.

(ii) Where notice is served 7 days after the vessels arrival, the charges shall be double those set out above.

3. Stuffing/Stripping 70 140

4. Trans-shipment Containers

Transhipment container shall be levied the following charges:

(i) Stevedoring 90 135

(ii) Wharfage N/A N/A

(iii) Shorehandling N/A N/A

(iv) Storage, Free Period 15 days

Thereafter until loading

in/out-going vessels

(Rates per day) 15 30

(v) Transfer 10 15

NOTE:

(a) Stevedoring and related charges as provided above covers the inward and outward operations and shall be paid in full by the inward vessels.

5. Shut-out charges on Containers

Where containers are shut-out they shall be subject to removal from the berth and shall be subject to shut-out and removal charges as follows:-

Rate in US$ per Container Unit of Upto 20ft Over 20ft

 

(i) Shut-out charges 50 75

 

(ii) Removal charges 30 45

 

(iii) Storage: Free period 5 days

Thereafter per container

Per day 15 30

NOTE: The above charges shall be to the account of the carrier

6. Wharfage on Empty Containers

Wharfage charges on empty containers received and/or delivered to ships shall be levied at the following rates:-

Wharfage on empty Containers 3 6

Note: The above charges shall be to the account of the carrier.
