Container Terminal
Dar Es Salaam Port Container Terminal is currently being operated by Tanzania International Container Terminal Services(TICTS).
The Container Terminal comprising of three berths with total quay length of 540 metres with capacity to handle 250,000 TEUs per annum. It covers an area of about 18 hectares with 12,000m2 of paved area and total slot capacity of 6,255 TEUs and modified railway tracks (TAZARA and Tanzania Railways Corporation (TRC). Equipments available include three (3) Ship to Shore Gantry Cranes (SSG) with 35.6 tons capacity each. Twelve (12) Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes (RTGs), one (1) Rail Mounted Crane serving both TAZARA and TRC, Front Loaders, Tractors and Trailers.
